Mark Hanna graduated law at the University of Sydney with First Class Honours.

 

Hanna has instructed counsel in two unanimous victories before the Full Bench of the High Court of Australia, most recently in the 2010 case of Kirk v Industrial Relations Commission of New South Wales [2010] HCA 1

 

Mark Hanna Lawyers also has a string of victories in Family and Federal Circuit Courts, the Supreme Court of NSW and various local courts and tribunals in Sydney and Canberra.

 

In 2023, following intensive litigation, he had a child returned from China to his mother in Australia.

Hanna has been a guest speaker at a number of conferences in Australia, Europe and Asia on family law and estates matters. He was invited to present a paper on Surrogacy issues at the most recent World Conference on Family Law and Children's Rights in in 2017 in Dublin, Ireland.

On invitation, he has been a guest judge at the LAWASIA International Moot from 2015 - 2023.
